Bridal Hair Question and Answer

Find answers to frequently asked questions about the booking process and services. I want to make sure you have all the information you need for your wedding day.

How can I book your services?

To begin, submit an inquiry form via the site. I will reach out within 2-3 business days about availability and next steps!

Do you work on-site or in a hair studio?

I offer on-site services only. I come to your getting-ready location so you don’t have to travel on your wedding day!

Are there fees for travel?

Travel is included within 20 miles of White Bear Lake. For locations outside this range, $1/mile per stylist

When is the best time to book?

Most clients book 6 to 12 months before their wedding. Since dates fill up fast, especially on summer and fall weekends, I suggest reaching out as soon as possible to secure your booking.

When is a hair trial recommended?

I suggest scheduling your trial 2 to 4 months before the wedding day. This ensures the style is decided upon and ready. Many clients coordinate this with a dress fitting or another event like a bridal shower.

How much time is needed for hair styling?

I schedule 60 to 90 minutes for the bride and 45 minutes to 1 hour per person for the bridal party. I can assist with timeline creation, just ask!

What do I need for my appointment?

Please arrive with hair that is clean and dry. It is helpful to bring photos of styles you like, any hair accessories or your veil, and to wear a shirt with a neckline similar to your wedding dress.

Do you require a minimum?

Due to the nature of the bridal industry and a limited number of bookings possible each season, a $500 booking minimum applies May through September, but there is no minimum number of services required.

There is no minimum October through April to accommodate bride only weddings.

Large bridal party?

I am able to take on 5 services (Bride +4)  comfortably on my own. If your bridal party requires additional services, a second stylist will be needed. Due to the challenge of finding second stylists, a $100 fee will be applied and additional time may be required to find a stylist.

Do you assist other sylists?

I do! It can be challenging finding second bridal hairstylists, especially last minute. If your bridal artist is looking for an assistant to accommodate your large bridal party, please inquire.
